This one has the famed Gold Foils pickups that Ry Cooder loves. He has one on his 60's Strat. Elvis Costello has a Zenon too. |

Circa 2008. Front to back; B, Tonedog, (that's us) Baybutt and Stewpot. Go to our links page to access some DBB songs and a video clip. Dave is an awesome songsmith |
ROWE INDUSTRIES 1961 DEARMOND PICKUPS
I bought this on Ebay and it's now located in my US Telecaster, neck position. It has a big, warm-toned vibe and looks very funky in a yellow Tele. However they always sound better in a Harmony. I had to try it though. It was originally in a Harmony Rocket in the States |
HAGSTROM IMPALA 1960's
This is just like the one I had when I was at school in Kingston. I either sold or swapped my original Watkins Rapier 44 to get it. I wish I still had them both now! |
HARMONY STRATOTONE MERCURY H47 1962
I've imported and sold a few of these and they are a great players. This is my last one. It has a chambered body so is very light and has a really phenomenal fat Chicago blues tone |
SADIE MAE MILLER
Our youngest girl, 6 months old & looking a bit ginger, just like her Mum! |
DANELECTRO RESODAN CUSTOM
A fantastic conversion that we had custom-converted by Julian Mullen from a Series 1 re-issue Danelectro U2 to an electric resonator complete with transducer in the bridge |
WATKINS RAPIER 33
My circa-1964 Watkins Rapier in fine condition. Serial number 6253, bolt-on neck, no trussrod, Watkins logo on headstock, 3x chromed dished pickups, original paintwork, Watkins Hi-Low Vibrato with original tremolo arm, all original electrics in working order. The tone is very unique. Think Hank'n'Surf |
THE HARMONY WALL AT TONEZONE
I used to like hanging out near this wall at the old ToneZone shop in Bideford. We don't have any Harmonys left to sell now - maybe oneday |

RED HOT 'n' BLUE
Our blues duo promo shot. We are currently looking for a rhythm section who are into blues. If you are interested and are good players please contact us through the store, cheers |
MY HARMONY STRATOTONE H88
This one's gorgeous and I love playing it. 1956/7 H88 'Doublet' Stratotone with a nice straight neck. It's finally getting played in my new blues band, The Missing. It sounds really nice'n'chunky thru my Fender Super Reverb 4x10 combo. Great blues tones |
WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE!
Birthday girl 12th May 2007 - our eldest |
HARMONY STRATOTONE JUPITER H49 1959
50 year old 1959 Jupiter, great for blues and swing/jump tones. These are getting harder to find but do appear on ebay sometimes. Hollow chambered body, blender control, nice Spruce top, amazing Dearmond Golden Tone pickups. More funky than a Les Paul! |
MY HARMONY STRATOTONE H44
This is my original early 50's Harmony H44. Unbeatable for authentic vintage blues tone. |
HARMONY STRATOTONE H44
Blues supremo John Hammond with his 1950's Harmony Stratotone H44 'blues machine' |
THE HARMONY STRATOTONE
If you dig tone and also not having the same guitar that everyone else then grab yourself a 50's or 60's Stratotone. They ooze character, tone & power. Blues, jazz, grunge, whatever, these guitars do the job. |
PETE SHELLEY / BUZZCOCKS
TONEZONE, home to the stars! The legend that is Pete Shelley has recently aquired a vintage Teisco Starway guitar from us as a present from his fan club. Pete used a 'modified' Starway back in the BUZZCOCKS days - it was actually one that was broken in half so he's well chuffed to get a replacement in one piece! |
